installing over network

Can i install a program from a CD in my main computer to my acer laptop since it doesnt have a cd rom?

Well that's one way to do it.
Easy. Slow, but easy.
Make your CD drive on mane computer sharable on the network.
Right click on it, click sharing and security - share.
On your acer go to my network places, you shall see it there.
Double click and it will run the install.

Share out the CD drive over the network ( as long as you can see it ) Or "Map" the drive to your laptop.

yup that worked took forever but really no other way of doing it.. didnt really wanan transfer to a sd card

You can also use something called daemon tools,
It is image mounting software that makes your computer think there's a physical drive.
So you can make an image of the disk you are trying to install, copy to thumb drive plug it in the Acer and off you go.

Ya sometimes I use "Alcohol" to mount the image ( ya another program like daemon )
