Lightbulb Amp wiring kit help and install

hey guys was wondering what kind of amp kit i should get (8g,4g,2g wire)

my sub is 600w rms 1200 peak , with a secound amp for a set of 4 speakers 50w each I was thinking 4guage would be adequate

any input before i tear into my ZJ for a new stereo system?

should i just disconnect the stock amp and re wire the speakers or re use the wiring for those?

What size fuses are on the amp is usually what i go with. and make sure you get a circuit breaker for under the hood instead of a fuse as im sure you will pop fuses at some point and a circuit breaker you can just reset..

I would say go with a 4g, 8g i think is for like 600w systems a 4g will give you extra power..

Just run 1 set of big (I'd go 4ga, maybe 2ga) cables back to the amp mounting location, and split the power there. Fuse the main run close to the battery, using a fuse sized appropriately for the wire run (or, add up the fuses of the amps and add 10, that will be less than the wire's rating if the wire is sized right).

You want to split it just before it gets to the amp.. with one of the above items im sure you could get it cheaper somewhere else.. they have internal fuses also..

okay guys im about to purchase my gear let me run this by you and any input is great.

Rockford amp kit 4g which includes 4g power wire, fuse, rca cable to receiver to amp/speaker wire

Power distribution block to spit the 4g power wire into 2 4g power wires for my 2 amps
seperate cables for amp to sub and other amp has wires that came in the kit listed above

okay heres the questions how do I split the RCA receiver wire into both amps, do they make ones with two 4 rca plugs on one end and 2 on the other for the receiver and 2 amps?

is a 4g power kit enough for 2 amps? splitting the 4g wire into 2 4g wires to power both amps? or should i run a 2g power wire and split it into 2 4g wires which then will go into the amps?

thanks guys sorry for the long post I have never done this before i have always payed to have this stuff installed before and am a little leery

yep the make y but since one amp is for subs and one amp is for doors you will need to run three sets of rcas. also depending where you go rockford sells a dual amp install kit which is way more cost effective then buying a single kit and piecing the rest together

Ideally your HU would have 3 pairs of outputs: front, rear and sub. That way you can fade F-R and have dedicated sub. If it only has 2 pairs you will either lose the ability to fade F-R from the HU or else the sub will fade as well.

Nope my stereo has all 3 preouts . Would I be hooking the amp for door speakers up to both the front and rear pre out and I then have the dedicated sub out too.

Okay I know this a little off topic but my new system won't have tweeters. Will I really knowtice a difference? I'm using some nice full range speakers or could I re use the old infinity system tweets? How the hell do you get to em! Lol
Thanks guys couldn't do it without ya

Components (midwoofer in door, tweeter in dash) will be better up front. Coaxials are fine in the rear doors. However, it does complicate the setup a bit. You could use the stock infinity tweeters in place of the ones in a component set, as long as they're not blown. However, you should still get the component set, as it will give you the crossovers.
