Just looked at the pics, I didn't read up on each. But I like how the Grabbers look, pretty sweat pattern.

I voted Goodyear because it's tread life number is much higher than either of the Generals you listed. That could mean a few more months in the life of that tire all factors being equal. Just my opinion bro....

They are all good tires IMO.

Grabber will be better as summer spot type
GY is more all season
I have heard good things about the Altimax as being a good all-around tire.

Seems like it up to you for what type of tire you want?

Well I am running Goodyears Tripple Treads now and I am absolutely in love. They are a bit noisy, but sidewall are stiff as all hell and they dig in no prob.
However Generals are lighter tires by about 2lbs and I have never used them. There's alot of people that I know were running them so I figured I'd ask.

I was going to go with the UHP myself but they are as good as a slick in the snow. I bought the General HTS which im very happy with.

my 1st post

Just put tripletreds on this week, and I like them so far. They are quieter on the highway, and seem solid on the curves. Haven't had any bad weather yet, so no comment there. I replaced Toyo Open Country ATs, which were solid for the last 55k.

5.9 - pretty stock, pretty clean

I have the UHP's and the dry traction is AMAZING!! The wet traction is iimpressive, but not as good as dry (no shit right). I can say though that their wet traction is WAY better than the factor tires though. Even when in 2wd, I have to try to break them loose when in wet conditions.

As far as winter traction (SNOW) goes, they wouldnt be my first choice. However they did get me out of a drift that was up to the bumpers... It took a while, but they got me out. I am trying to find the pic now...

I recently got the Goodyear Fortera Tripletred tires and I absolutely love them. They are solid and grip hard. It's no wonder they are Consumer Digests Best Buy. I purchased them at the Goodyear Store and got a hella good deal on them, $144 plus Goodyear is having a $40 rebate, and an additional $40 rebate for opening a Goodyear Card. So, I am getting 80 bucks back too. I am highly satisfied and impressed with these tires. That's my 2 cents.
