finally

i can post about the top speed limit removal without getting banned!!!!

so i have obd1, and wont be switching to ms just yet so untill then anyone know a way to trick my jeep so that it cant tell im doin 115 and then it could keep going...as u may remember, i lost to a M3 only because of that damn limiter! need it gone

not that yall care or anything but this loss wasnt on a public road.

could i put a switch on the tranny speed sensor and hit it when i get close? would that work?

You can run the Jeep with the speedo disconnected, I did it for a while just after my 5 speed swap, I didn't notice any ill effects.

pull the plug at the speed sensor, I don't believe that the ABS uses the speed sensor, it uses the tone rings at the end of each axle.

Do you have factory manual that shows wire to PCM?? I used to put a switch in the "Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal" This would stop the speedo and also stop the mileage. I do believe it also got rid of the speed limit.

The other way is turn the key all the way to START while you are driving in WOT ( I think all the instrument panel goes to " 0 " state )

Give it a try next time you are on the race dyno
