Intake temp sensor
Is there a company that puts out a kit to move the intake air temp sensor, or is it just as easy to plug the place it screws into the intake and extend the wires. Any advice? Thanx

I extended mine on my 4.0 using 16 gauge speaker wire. Worked out perfect. As for a real benefit... Matt already posted the link lol.

So I finally got around to moving the IAT sensor. First I just zip tied it to the air tube on the back of the air box, and today while splicing the low/high speed fan wires together I realized I could put it in the capped of tube on the side of the air box. It was tight enough to screw in but I put some rtv around it for good measure.

The low speed is burnt out at the fan and I read in a thread on hear somewhere that you can splice the wires together after the connecter for a quick fix. But I did notice that the fan sickles on and off like once a minute. So my next step is probably to throw in a switch so I can turn it on and off when I want.

While cutting the excese wire for the IAT sensor move I thought I would shorten the little tube I put it in. So I get the dremal out and cut the tube and gee there's not hole through the top of the intake box. So this whole time it hasn't even been getting outside air.![]()

I've got the AEM CAI and here's a pic how I did mine. Might be some food for thought later down the road depending if you are going to upgrade to CAI.
