Ground location on battery relocation for vortech

    Hey guys,

Yeah i know its kind of a dumb question but where are ya'll grounding the battery after you relocate the battery to the driver side?

I really dont like grounding to the PS pump bolt but I dont see a better option in the immediate area so let me know.

    Thanks for any help!

That's where mine is grounded to..... I purchased a cable with with both ends on it to make it look finished. Do not forget to move the battery temp sensor ( the round plunger looking thing on the bottom of the tray ) as I think you get a CEL without it hooked up.

Ideally, you should have a ground to the block and to the body.

The ground straps on back of heads to the firewall should take care of the ground to body ( verify they are there LOL ) But ya,,, like I said I have Battery ground to block/head,,, and ground straps from back of both heads to the body.

Those straps are mostly for grounding RF interference. There not enough to safely handle all of the electrical items that are grounded to the body.

it's a little bit offtopic and maybe it's a dump question, but why you relocate your batteries to driver side
and not to another place. Than you have more room in the engine room.

Does it have a reason, or is it just the easier way?

I don't have a turbo-/supercharger, but I relocate mine behind the rear bumper.
