I will probably be going with the B&G springs.

It will be around a 1.6"-2" drop.

Here are some brands I have been pondering over...

    KYB
    Koni
    Bilstein
    Edelbrock
I am going with the edelbrock I.A.S.

I have heard that the Edelbrock bottoms out on a lowered Jeep...Anyone know if this is true?

If I can't find the B&G's, which springs would you advise I get, the Eibach or H&R?

I appreciate all the input guys

ok, thanks for letting me know...

I am somewhat on a budget right now, and at 100 bucks a shock, the eddys seem a little high...they are not completely out of the question as I am trying to gather all inputs...

    However,
What is your opinions on the Bilsteins?
or the KYB Gas-a-just & Monomax?

    Also, any recommendations on springs?

    Thanks

I don't buy car parts until I can afford something I want.
That will be my advise to you my friend. I have done whole lets buy cheaper part thing, it doesn't work out and you will be right back buying what you wanted initially. So save your money and buy the better shocks.

    I know what you mean...
But sometimes the most expensive isn't always the best...
or atleast compared side by side or dollar to dollar.
I thought there might be something just as good for a better price...
    Additional Comment:
What did you guys pay for your Edelbrocks and where from?

I used edels in both of my jeeps, Those are the only shocks I can vouch for my friend. I love them. Doesn't make them the salt of the earth, but I would've paid more for them.

I got mine of truckperfomance.com when they were on a special.
If you are on a budget you can try blistens, aot of people swear by them. they are a bit cheaper.

It's not that I'm cheap lol...I just want to get the most for my money. Like, if the Bilsteins perform just as good as the Eddy's, then why not go with what's cheaper. I'm sure you understand what I am saying. I am going to look around and see if I can catch a good deal on the Eddy's. I was able to get the B&G springs so I am happy about that.

I know exactly what you are saying man> I just learned to to cheap out on the parts.
Look at KYB shocks while you looking, they make decent shocks.

Well yes and no, edels work "fine" with a drop, but their travel really should be shorter. I am looking for a shorter shock to best complement my setup now

I have Rubicon Express mono's with OME springs. I guess that (being lifted slightly) makes me the odd-ball here lol.

I like them, my tires don't leave the road. Maybe a little harsh but handling is better than stock even thoug I'm up 3".

I really need to put some research into upgrading the suspension on my ZJ. Even if it involves something as crazy as putting SRT-8 IFS on it. For now, it would be nice to get a sweet set of shocks though that we can run while lowered.
