    Fixed that for ya

    Although it's no longer a 5.9

    Thanks folks

To the right is my old faithful 93 5.2. 219K miles.

In the garage: the 5spd on the right and the lightweight on the left, out front is the 242 on the left and the "no 2nd gear" niner on the right.

ya I got my work cut out for me

They probably think I'm insane. Pretty sure that's the general concensus among anyone that knows me

So far I've been keeping a low profile. Try to keep the grass cut etc, don't run 'em too much unless I'm taking them out and I try not to rev them too much etc. As it is only one of them has stock exhaust - the rest are all 3"

I'm trying to save up good will for when I get my compressor and start working.

They are most likely NOT going to be happy at all when I get the lightweight running and start tuning LOL.

    Davit you complete bitch! LOLz

Four are registered and drivable - sort of. The 5spd needs a clutch so I only drive that one enough to keep it limber.

You should have seen the looks I got showing up at the car wash with four Jeeps in two days.

why Rick, that never even entered my mind.

    ya right

So if you're wondering why I have so many Jeeps, you're asking yourself a question that I ask myself every single damn day!!!

My problem now is I have too many Jeeps, but I have ideas going on in my head for several builds besides these. Most seem to involve the early ZJs though.
I definitely want a Base Model - not even sure how I want to build it but I'd be using some ideas from my lightweight.
I also want to do a hybrid with an OBD2 PCM as a semi standalone with the OBD1 PCM. I don't really want to do that with my 93 cuz it's such a monster of a DD with that MP PCM that's in it now.
I could do a complete swap to OBD2 but no way do I want to lose the 46RH!! which means either leaving the OBD1 PCM in place or getting that aftermarket kit that controls it without a PCM. In fact I'm even thinking of an RH for one of my nines!!
I'd also like to clone a 5.9 from an early ZJ - although really the only reason I'd want to do that is so I'd have an OBD2 5.9 that I could go no-holds-barred on the tuning and not have to worry about passing MA inspection (up here OBD2 has to pass emissions but OBD1 does not)

With the househunting, moving, getting my household stuff out of storage, trying to close out my Jeep storage - and then work taking off like mad I haven't touched that project in close to three months.

First have to get the rest of my Jeep stuff here and then figure out what parts I need for each Jeep (gonna have a ton of shit for sale afterwards!) Then need to organize the garage for actually working out of.

Sadly the first priority is to take care of the rest of the fleet, probably get the 242 Platinum ready to sell and get the 93 ready for winter DDing.

The motor in the lightweight is 'done" ....sorta

Engine/trans/drive(SUPER)shaft have been in place for a while. Intake is pretty much set up and wired - and sitting on my kitchen counter

Next step is to get a couple of custom goodies made to finish setting up the motor. Once that's done I can resume the wiring project from hell.

The harness is pretty much complete but I still have to fit it in place and once that's done I still have to make a bunch of terminations at some designated terminal points - that aren't in place yet

So just think, after I get this all done and running and tested out, put a few miles on it - it all comes apart so it can get "built"

Was just discussing this with 98cherokee5.9 the other day.
I don't think there's been anything published on the ratio of colors these were produced in but it seems like there's tons more Platinums and a LOT less Stone Whites, with the Slates running somewhere in the middle.

I think I like the Stone Whites the best. IMHO Slate and Stone White have the overall best "look" when seeing the vehicle as a whole from a distance, but you can't beat the sparkle, flake and luster of the Platinum when you actually walk up to the Jeep.
I don't know about you guys but I spend a lot more time close to my Jeep than I do gazing at it from a distance LOL

I think it's a win-win either way, although I do have a theory that 'the grass is always greener' - meaning buy any color and you'll start wishing you had the other color! LOL

Me - I'm still wishing they made them in red, although I think the brighter red on the early Limiteds looks slightly better than the deeper red on the later Limiteds

Those pics made the rounds on most of the forums when it was for sale on ebay about 2 - 3 years back. It was kinda 50/50 as to love hate LOL

Funny thing is I know that Jeep.

Guy lived right down the street from my ex just north of Boston. I had been seeing it for a while as a Dark Slate. It ended up getting keyed all the way around, then it was gone for a few weeks and showed back up as this blue thing.

He (or his next door neighbor) had a Laredo and that ended up with the 5.9 rims. I don't know why though

Well, I have them but I wouldn't say they are outstanding.
I dunno, maybe having them is outstanding (or not) but they all need some work, none of them are really mint - but with the fairly radical plans I have in mind for them I don't think I'd want to start with mint 5.9s anyway.

Like the lightweight. It's solid and in good shape overall but it was being parted out and that shell would have ended up getting crushed, so I don't feel too bad about using it for the stripped out lightweight project, whereas I don't think that would have been cool to do to a 5.9 that was real nice when I got it.

I was thinking of keeping one for a DD, but I wouldn't want to run it through our winters, plus I already have the 93 for a winter driver, mile accumulator and parts chaser so I think that Platinum 242 one will be leaving the collection sometime soon.
