so with shipping, install kit and gaskets you are looking at $400, not bad. That is ALOT lower than what they used to be. When Chrysler was Daimler they had the freakin MSRP all the way up over $600.

I'm contemplating picking up a 2nd kegger and seeing what a machine shop can do as far as porting it (not cutting runners), etc. For those of us at stock displacement and not revving to the moon, I think it would work well, considering how flat my torque curve is currently with a bone stock kegger (starts falling off significantly at 5400). I figure with a ported kegger and some headers, I could give up nothing on the low end, and stretch the top end out to 5600 - 5700.

My plan is the Hughes top end kit on a fresh 5.9 short block. Im not going to go stroker or anything. I already have 24lb inectors, 52mm TB, MSD wires and coil, K&N filter, Ross Racing fuel rail, underdrive crank pulley, and full exhaust. I will of course go with an SCT tune. The stock but fresh 5.9 bottom end with the Hughes top end should make for a great daily driver.

Me too but it's not going to happen tomorrow. Ill have my core soon which will get a total rebuild. Ill upgrade bearings and use all ARP bolts/studs where i can. I will be using the stock crank, rods, and pistons though. Stock lower end is plenty strong for what im looking to do.

Whats the difference in these two?

So is it just a fact that you lose your low end toque with the m1?

If I recall, our linkage is on the right. I think they just used a stock photo. As usual, I believe the more expensive one is ours.

I tried readin this thread, just a bunch of banter from banned members lol.

I have a question, i dont wanna lose torque. Seems like anything beyond a stock kegger (maybe including modding the stocker) loses torque and gains hp. Yes? No?

I would say its more like it shifts torque. With a proper tune and an M1 I would be very surprised to see you actually lose torque on a dyno but ill let you know.

So jeep98zj posted the wrong link?

Do we have a list of links showing what intakes to get, rocker arms, lifters, valve springs, etc, with part numbers? For people like me that eventually wants to mildly build my 5.9 its overwhelming tying to figure out whats what.

Stock Keggar vs. M1 2bbl vs. M1 4bbl vs. Hughes Airgap (Just FYI)

I know on summit and jegs you can search by motor. Just look for 5.2/5.9 magnum engines and they'll give you compatible parts.

there are some links floating around on different threads but sometimes the link is dead. I am sure due to the time that has passed since posted and complanies moving/redoing websites. A current one would be good to put together.

Yeah, would have to have the maker and part number with it. Maybe the lowest price at the time so if a link did go dead you could search and know whats a good price.

    guys,
this came out a few days ago on a fb page, all credits to FRP, the whole point was to understand if porting the stock kegger is worth or not.
    check out these screenshots.
