Wink New Edelbrock aluminum cylinder head for the 4.0L

Edelbrock is soon to release a new aluminum cylinder head for the 4.0L engine. Its currently being displayed at SEMA this week. It has been in development for the past 2 years, but I wasn't able to say anything about it.

While the new head is advertised to increase performance I believe they are planning a higher performing head after the first edition. They are also looking into the possibility of an intake manifold to complement the head.

I expect pricing to be well under Hesco's non-available head and comparative to Edelbrock's other heads. I just don't expect it to be the same price as one of their V8 heads.

Once I get my MP90 supercharger install done on my stroker I'm going to see what their next head will be like.. unless I get antsy.

Hopefully Edelbrock will make an intake to complement this head.

    That's great.

Wonder why they didn't do this 10 years ago?? Its not like the 4.0 wasn't used in everything.

The size of the 4.0 head was too long for them to forge.

The length of the head wouldn't fit in their casting machinery.

I've seen a 505 head. I wouldn't call it performance anything. They also have a pretty bad reputation all around.
