My bad. Thought maybe you were having a "senior moment." I want to make sure you know that I know that it is neither white, nor a buffalo. It is pretty great, though.

Yup. Sold the Lexus to a dude in Richmond.

In other news, got her first kill this morning. Hyundai Tiberon with a body kit and a rattle can paint job. Not a glorious kill, but you can ask any racer, any real racer. Winning is winning.

And took the hood insulation, spare tire, spare tire cover, and cargo shade out... I'm on a slippery slope now. As much as I want to start on the go-fast stuff, I miss my H&Rs. I feel like these Bilsteins, H&Rs, and Addco sways might take precedence for a little while.

Yes. Odometer says 241,000. I'm having a hard time finding anything that actually looks like it's still original, though.

I apologize. I didn't even know making fun of colorblind people was a thing.

I'm bad, and I feel bad (Zoidberg FTW!)

Why does Chris keep going on about the motor?

Is there some reason to believe it's not the stock motor? Is it built or sumptin?

Logan - here's your chance to plan out the details beforehand and do it again from the ground up.

    "Have at it!"

When someone specifies "body" has x amount of miles on it, leads me to believe engine mileage is different. Just curious

Some of us have jobs and chit. Can't spend all day playing on the internet. For all infants and porpoises, let's say the motor is original, 241,398 miles on it. I haven't found anything (in writing) to say otherwise.

Thanks to my stupid job I haven't been able to do anything with GWB yet other than clean it over and over again in a futile attempt to get all the VA road salt off of her. It is nice not having a 180F thermostat anymore, though.

Amazing the difference it makes isn't it? My 94 has a 180 in it and it struggles to keep me warm. Puts out hot air, just not hot enough for me.

Whelp. GWB is on hold. Princess is shitting the bed in more ways than I can count. Definitely more issues than I want to deal with. Logan's entire fun money fund is being diverted to a new car for wifey. After a little bit of financial recovery, GWB will resume as planned.

For the benefit of everyone else, Princess needs:

    • The whole front end rebuilt. Tie rod ends, ball joints, control arms, track bar, etc all have more play than what is acceptable and she's started death wobbling when you hit pot holes at high way speeds.
    • Brakes are shot. Started getting a little pedal surge recently, so the rotors are warping (or just have crap built up on them, regardless she doesn't stop like she should)
    • She doesn't like to idle when it's cold. Wouldn't idle at all the other day, so a new TPS, a clean IAC, and a clean TB got put on. That helped, but she's still not healthy.
    • She drinks antifreeze and oil. Heater lines look OK, and no visible coolant leaks, so it's going somewhere it's not supposed to. Valve covers and RMS leak... Badly... There's an obvious puddle in the plenum pan.
    • Tires could probably be replaced
    • Viscous Coupler is totally seized. I put the DS back in when it snowed, but had to take it back out now that everythings dry because she's almost un-drivable on dry asphault.
    • I recently found out that the drivers seat belt doesn't lock up like it is supposed to in a panic stop. The Wife has already been thrown through one windshield and walked away, she said she doesn't really want to risk her luck a second time.
    • Heated seats quit working yesterday. When it was 3F outside...
    • Headers are cracked somewhere.
    • There's a short in the radio that has recently shown itself.

There's more, but you get the idea. 90% of these are new-ish problems. Work is crazy, it's cold outside, and I don't feel like ****ing with it. Gotta make a grown up decision and buy her something safe and wait on spending money on my toy. At this point, it'd be cheaper just to buy her a new car than fix Princess, and that's assuming I find time to do all the work myself.

Buy a lower mile white ZJ and put the Princess parts on it?

Buy a low mile wrecked ZJ and put the drivetrain and suspension onto Princess?

    Just thoughts.

You know how unhappy you were when you were ZJ-less. You don't want to do that to the Mrs too

I don't know. I keep changing my mind... And I don't have any fun money to start building it yet, anyway. I'm torn between another lowered, stripped, go-fast jeep and a totally-stock looking sleeper. Either way, it's getting tuned and sprayed. That much I know for sure.
