Oh it happened. These are pics from the PO (leftfield6 on here and JF). I'll get my own up here once it's warmer outside. It's in better shape than the WJ I paid almost $10,000 for. Mechanically solid is an understatement.

It feels mint. I spent an hour going over it this morning. Right now I just want to wash it then sit outside with a beer and look at it... I need to get an under-hood shot. It's very pretty...

Since June, the PO had replaced:

    The VC in the 249
    Headlights
    Liftgate and glass gas struts
    Tires (all 5)
    Battery
    Headliner (done professionally--looks great)
    Floor mats (genuine Jeep mats)
    Shocks (Bilsteins)
    PCM
    Alternator
    Head unit and speakers
The 44A has been rebuilt from end to end
    Trans fluid/filter
    Windshield/turn signal stalk
    Blower motor
    Transmission cooler
    NSS
    PS Pump
    PS pulley

    My observations:

AC system has been replaced--at least the lines, compressor, and the dryer are not original
    Water pump has been replaced
Timing cover has been replaced (I'm hoping this means the chain has, too)
I see new gaskets peeking out under the valve covers

More pictures and info to come. I'm off to the DMV to officially get her street legal.

Slate is the best color... Obviously... Anybody that says other wise is just upset that they don't have one. Body has 241,000 miles on it. I looked at several others that had significantly less mileage, but this one won. Hands down. It rides better, looks better, and has been maintained the best. The Carfax pulled up factory service records all the way back to the first oil change.

Plans are: go over it really really well and make sure it's totally, 100% perfect. Wash, clay, buff and wax it. The short "to do" list is: lower it, Addco sway bars, M1, 52mm TB, injectors, tuning, exhaust, HS roller rockers, and an intake of some sort and pretty it up under the hood.

Cleaned her out a little bit. If it ever stops rain/snowing I'll get the outside clean, too.

In all fairness, Logan did say he was colorblind.

Logan, I hate to be the one to tell you this but, ummm ...about your great "white" buffalo...

It's really not all that white.

Great white buffalo has nothing to do with color:

Great White Buffalo: The one true love of your life. Called the Great White Buffalo because of it's rarity, elusive status.

Most people go throughout their entire lives without ever encountering a Great White Buffalo.
