    ZJ Head Turning ZJ's

Hey guys, my ZJ is pretty much stock other than tires and bull bar... I need some inspiration as to what to add in order to make people turn their head, look at my Jeep and say, damn... thats a sexy Jeep. All in the same time as them hearing it roar. Can you guys post up pics of your rigs so that I can get some ideas? I'd appreciate it since Im fairly new to the scene and aren't very imaginative.

Best word of advice is to look at the projects page. Then look under the different sections like exterior, interior, etc....

    Head Turning ZJ's

Here's a head turner. For better or for worse, it's hard not to look at it.

Members Gallery too. Tons o' pics in there

I can't really tell from the pic - what color is your Jeep?

And are you heading towards lifted/offroad or more of a street build?

Sadly, I think mostly only Jeep people even look at ZJs enough to notice whether they're stock or not. Might be different in places with more 'car culture' though.

You can go for a slightly cleaner look and remove the roof rack, maybe even the door cladding.

5.9 rocker cladding maybe? Hunt down a 5.9 grill or you could cut out the inset vertical bars on your grill and use real mesh. 5.9 hood maybe, or just the louvers if your hood is good. (there's a thread on here somewhere about adding the louvers to a stock hood)

Other than that it's mostly up to what kind of lights you choose, like going darker or towards a clear/chromish look - although that's kind of dependent on the color of the Jeep. Smoked might look better with a dark color, clear corners with their chrome backing looks good against Platinum for instance.

There's some various wheels that help, Cobra rims and the later Wrangler rims (I think?) but we're kinda limited in how wide we can go without rubbing

You can lower it if you get the right springs but that's a pretty subtle change. Worth it for handling but maybe not worth doing just as an appearance mod.

If you're going towards an offroad build there's actually more stuff you can do as far as appearance like aftermarket bumpers and more choices for wheels and tires etc

    Head Turning ZJ's

Honestly, my wife's ZJ (nicknamed Princess) gets more looks and people taking pictures of it than any other vehicle I've built.

I love that but she needs pink 5.9 "skirts"

LOL - but that would be a crowning touch (for a Princess! get it? )

    I always liked Roger/GreenZJ's Jeep.

Looked a lot like the masterpull one up there but I don't think he had the sliders and flares.

He had the body color bumper like that and (I think) the same wheels too
